As for the music, the Nocturne itself was not inspired by any of the above-mentioned directly. It's a post-romantic interpretation of the MLP main theme were it a Nocturne after Liszt and Chopin got their grubby paws on it: Nocturnal simplicity with a dash of appassionato. I hope some of you brony pianists give it a shot as its technical demands are very manageable. Just lay on the passion and make sure it sings!
