A rare view into the production of "Rarity" by SoGreatandPowerful and And The Rainfall based on in-progress musical renders and associated commentary released by ATR. All commentary is from his perspective.

ATR's Introduction:
This is a hopefully brief account of the process behind the making of Rarity. Hopefully it will be insightful to those interested! Being written from my perspective, it obviously leans a lot to my side, and emphasizes the things I did, making it seem like I'm undermining SGaP's contributions. This is not my intention, and I'd happily represent SGaP's side better and more accurately, if it weren't for the fact that I can't speak for his personal experience. So I hope you'll forgive these shortcomings, and still find something of interest to take from this.

ATR's Closing:
I didn't finish the song shortly after he left. I wanted to take a break from it, and instead decided to take refuge in Panoramic, which I was slowly building up to the side of this song, as a way to take my mind off stuff IRL. I had hoped that we'd carry on working on it after he came back, but by the time he did, in September, I was desperately trying to finish Over The Reals, and soon started organizing what would become Sori 52 project and my main focus until its completion, while SGaP busied himself with S2. Around February I approached him again about Rarity, feeling that it'd be a shame for this song to never be released. With his blessing, I then took it upon myself to tie up loose ends, and so the differences between this render and the final version are my doing alone, with plenty of guidance from Facexplodie. I don't have the habit of building an archive of renders for my personal use, so this is the only representation of this stage that I could find.
