This is a simple march, which was originally intended as a bit of background to my story "The Ballad of Wyverns' Rock" but which eventually grew into a standalone song. In brief, the story here is that the Mane Six are about to set off (at night, hence "by Luna's light" in the chorus) on a seemingly desperate bid to save Equestria from a plague of wyverns (similar to dragons). Rainbow Dash is giving the ponies a final rallying speech. I don't pretend that this is a work of genius, or anything close to it. I lack both the equipment/software and (more importantly) the talent of the really good brony musicians, so don't expect too much, especially as I'm doing the vocals as well! Even so, I am quite pleased with the lyrics, and I think the basic tune is about right in terms of tempo and feel -- yes, it's rather repetitive, but as a marching song it's supposed to be, just as "John Brown's Body" is. My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is © Hasbro. Verse 1: The rainbow-manèd pegasus, she spread her wings and spoke: The power of our friendship see! Now tremble, evil folk! United we are awesome and, no matter what we face, We shall return, have you no fear, unto you in this place. Chorus: Forward! in the name of Celestia, Forward! by Luna's light. Forward! with the hearts of Equestria, Dangers awaiting together we'll fight! Verse 2: I give my word, I give my bond: we six shall be as one, Together, always, on our quest, until our quest be done. We'll giggle at each ghostie and each manticore; each wraith. Have courage, everypony here; have courage and have faith! Chorus
