“Plum Ridiculous" Impossible" BGM from the episode “Applejack’s ‘Day’ Off” of "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic” (S06E10).


--Overall Comments--

Yay, another Rarity and Applejack episode!  A rather simpler slice-of-life episode compared to the past few, “Applejack’s ‘Day’ Off” has the feel, to me, of a classic season 1 or 2 episode of the show.  It’s a more uneventful (overall) character study episode, which helps to highlight how some of the characters have grown over the show’s run, and where they still falter (AJ).

The episode’s score is also in tune with this, including a wonderful guitar-filled montage number which definitely has that nostalgic-MLP feel.  The “Magic of Friendship” motif also makes a more prominent comeback in this episode.

--Track Specific Comments--

Applejack tells Rarity, Twilight, and Spike her inefficient, roundabout way of doing some of her tasks.  As Twilight talks about AJ and Rarity spending time at the spa together, a third drop of the “Magic of Friendship” motif appears.  Lot of Applejack-themed score in here, otherwise!
