After returning home from visiting Starzy around Valentines Day, I suppose I was feeling a little sad about having to leave. But not like, the normal kind of sad. I was still incredibly happy to have been able to visit her for the whole week, and am looking forward to seeing her next. But now of course I am stationed in that in-between time where there are miles, a boarder, and an ocean  between us.

That feeling is an interesting one to me, because it is neither sad nor happy, yet it is also both being incredibly prevalent at the same time. It sits in that neutral space of bittersweetness that I love to sing about so much.

This brought to mind an old song Almost Anyone and Rocket Stereo did back in 2013 called "I Want to See you" (they did a VIP version for the album You Can Shine was on), so I decided to cover it :P I think it conveyed the emotions I'm feeling quite nicely~

I love you Starz, can't wait to see you again =D

So, you may have noticed that I've been doing a LOT of covers lately... this is completely by accident XD I'm always working on a lot of covers in addition to my tons of original WIPs, it just so happened that a bunch of those covers got finished around the same time ;P

Besides, I love singing covers. For one I've always found it a lot easier to record good takes when I'm singing someone else's melody, and for two it means I get to plug my friends and musicians that I like :D
